Embedding Video from Vimeo.com or Youtube.com

  I’m trying to embed a video from Vimeo and/or youtube.com to my blog as a demo for a class that I teach. I’ve been doing this for a long time successfully- but can suddenly not get it to work. The simple instructions are not working: (copy/past URL, unlinked, no spaces)… I just see the title and URL when publishing. I’ve tried different browsers (chrome, firefox & safari). It works ONLY if I paste code, but I’d like to teach my students the most simple technique. Please let me know what I’m doing wrong! I have screen-shots if needed. Mac OSX 10.7.4

  That’s how video posting goes. The only thing that ALWAYS works is the WP.com custom shortcode

  [youtube=URL]

  Every time WP changes something or the video site changes something, one or more of the other methods no longer works.
