Embedding video on a page

  I’m trying to figure out how to embed a YouTube video in my “About Me page.” No problems on individual posts, but not working on a page. Can this be accomplished in WP.com?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Yes and it’s very easy to do. I use the youtube shortcode and it works every time. There are two methods see here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/videos/youtube/

  Thank you. That is what I was doing; it wasn’t working. When I switched the view to html it did take. Working fine now. I appreciate your help.

  Hola. What is the latest about loading or embedding an iMovie11 or iPhoto11 video I created into a WP blog? I’ve read a few suggestions that involve quite a few steps and are dated 2010.

  I really want to avoid YouTube and paying for VideoPress. I do have a Flickr account, but wondering if there’s an alternative.

  p.s. how do I control which of my member names are used? Sometimes my URL name shows and other times another name. My avatar stays the same. Does it depend on whether I’m posting when I’m working in my blog?

  how do I control which of my member names are used? Sometimes my URL name shows and other times another name.

  When you register a username account here all that’s required is an email address, which becomes your unique identifier. If you are logged in and register a blog then it’s registered under that unique identifier.

  Clicking this link should display all your blogs registered under the same username, including the hidden ones: https://dashboard.wordpress.com/wp-admin/index.php?page=my-blogs&show=hidden
  If you do not see the blog here http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-blogs/ then
  follow this guide > http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-blogs/#my-blogs-dashboard-visibility

  You can only link a single username to a single primary blog, regardless of how many blogs are registered under that username.

  Dashboard -> Users -> Personal Settings -> then scroll down to Account Details. Then scroll down to where it says ‘Primary Blog‘ select the URL for your primary wordpress.com blog and then save changes.

  Now every time you sign into the forum we can all click on your username and your blog will be linked to it. And every time you leave a comment on a blog your username can be likewise clicked and your blog can be instantly located.
