Embedding Videos

  Hi, I’ve been trying to embed videos from bing videos (msn videos) and dailymotion, but whenever I copy and paste the embed code from the source onto my blog posts in html mode, whenever I post or update it, the system automatically changes the embed code into some form of link. Can anyone explain to me why it does this? Thanks.

  I should specify that the video is not showing up and embedding to my posts – it just displays a link to the video.

  Those are not approved for embedding here. You can work around this usuing Vodpod.com or you can use the Gigya Shortcode to change those videos into a different format which can be embedded here. See http://wpbtips.wordpress.com for how.

  Dailymotion is on the list of video services WordPress.com supports, see http://en.support.wordpress.com/videos/dailymotion/ for examples showing how to embed them.

  Other videos may work via Vodpod, see http://en.support.wordpress.com/videos/vodpod/
