Embedding videos from Full30.com

    Lots of new video services – as an alternative to Google’s censorship. Full30.com is only 1 such. Tried your ‘shortcode’ method of ‘[embed]URL[/embed] but only got the link to the video. Any chance there is another option? (Full30.com’s ’embed’ option seems to be a pretty typical iFrame (which I know is verbotten) but I guess I expected it to work with the Embed shortcode.

    OK That didn’t work. For some reason the “code” function didn’t do what I expected.

    However if you click that link in the previous post. you will see that the embed option is in the lower right-hand corner. It will display a fairly typical (even YouTube typical) iframe.

    Hi there,

    The embed shortcode is a feature of the open source WordPress software found on WordPress.org, and is not supported on WordPress.com.

    Because of the way WordPress.com works, we only allow embedding content from sites that have been specifically whitelisted for that purpose, and those services either have their own unique shortcodes, or use the oEmbed protocol.

    Full30 is not a whitelisted service, but we’re happy to consider adding them. They will need to reach out to us directly as explained in https://developer.wordpress.com/docs/embedding-on-wordpress-com/ to get that process started.

    Meanwhile, we do support video embeds from several other services besides Youtube. You can find a complete list of supported services here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/videos/
