Embedding Videos from Google Drive

    I’ve attempted to embed a saved video from my Google Drive; this will be the first I’ve tried to embed a Google Drive video since the switch to the new editor. I tried the way I’ve been doing it previously:

    Go into Google Drive, double-click the video
    On the 3 dots, click ‘Open in a new window’
    In the 2nd window, click ‘Embed’
    Copy the HTML code
    Go to my WordPress page and click paste

    But that doesn’t seem to be working now. How do I embed a Google Drive video onto my WordPress.com blog?

    Hi there – There are a few ways to get video to appear on your site. I’ll mention each below.

    Option 1 (free): embed video to your site using one of the supported video services listed here: https://wordpress.com/support/videos/

    Option 2 (paid): upgrade to the Premium plan to then upload the videos to your site’s media library to then bring them onto your pages and posts where you need them: https://wordpress.com/support/videopress/#enable-video-press-on-your-site

    Option 3 (paid): upgrade to the Business plan to enable the ability for your site to use the custom embed code you are trying to get to work.
