Embeding facebook videos and adding captions on wordpress

  I’m trying to add captions to the videos I’ve embedded by following the instructions posted on this site
  http://www.washington.edu/marketing/web/image-video-captions/

  but it would only display the link of the video, and not the actual video itself.

  Without using the code (just copy pasting the link) i don’t have problems viewing the videos. But once i input the code along with my desired caption, only the link can be viewed.

  is there a proper fix for this?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  The proper fix is not to follow instructions for WordPress.org blogs when what you have is a WordPress.com blog. The only way we can embed a FB video here is by pasting the link itself, and we cannot add a caption or anything. If you want to do that, upload the video to your own FB and caption it then embed THAT post.

  thanks for the reply. i figured it might be a function that won’t work with my free site. But it worked very briefly on one out of three videos.. Then i made a mistake of changing the caption and now it only shows the link.

  Anyway thanks for the info. Very helpful!
