Embeding issuu documents into wordpress.com blog / pages

I have been unable to embed issuu documents into a wordpress blog. These are pdf documents encapsulated in flash, which is probably the root cause of the problem. However using code [gigya there has been a work round embeding alternative older code provided by issuu which has now been withdrawn. I found a few web pages indicating the code could be adapted to the new issuu format but this proved impossible. Can WordPress incorporate issuu or is there an alternative to displaying browsable pdf books that embed in wordpress.com
