Embeds

Is it possible to allow JSFiddle Embeds, making it easier for programmers to code using WordPress?

On sites under our Business Plan, we only support the embeds listed at https://wordpress.com/support/category/embedding-content/
With a Business Plan or higher, you’ll be able to embed anything.

Hello, and thanks for the reply.
It says on your website to come with suggestions for embeds, and since there is no way to embed code in the free trial, the suggestion was to add jsfiddle.net to the free plan.

Hi there,
I have added it to our list of suggestions for our developer team to consider.

We don’t have a notification system for feature requests, no.
I do want to note that, based on their documentation at https://docs.jsfiddle.net/embedding-fiddles, JSFiddle only supports iframe embeds at this time, and we don’t support any iframe embeds on WordPress.com, except on our business plan (aside from an ever-shrinking number of legacy integrations we have that rely on shortcodes).
We’re always open to adding support for new embeds that our users will find useful, but a core requirement for that is that the service must offer oEmbed, where you embed content by simply pasting in the link. And chances are if JSFiddle were to support oEmbed, support for that would be added to the open source WordPress software itself, which would automatically make it possible on WordPress.com as well.
So one way to make this happen sooner would be to reach out to the support team over at JSFiddle, and ask them to consider adding oEmbed support on that end. You can also point them to our developer documentation in this regard here:
Meanwhile, we do support CodePen embeds, as CodePen does offer oEmbed:

Hello,
I messed around alot with CodePen, it’s great! The only issue is it only support JavaScript, which is not my Ace. It’d be lovely if some other services also were free (ideone.com f.ex.)
-
I completely understand.
I took a quick look, and it doesn’t appear that ideone.com supports oEmbed either. But any service you want to use, just point them to our developer documentation I linked above, and once they support oEmbed they can reach out to us directly to request that we add support for their service.
