Emergency: Hacker!

    Dear all,

    Two of my wordpress accounts have recently been hacked by the same person, who modified the password and recovery e-mail address.

    Since I created the two accounts, and the two websites associated to the two accounts, I would like to know how I can get back the access to these accounts.

    I have all the evidences necessary to establish my ownership (transaction ID when I bought the domain, original IDs and passwords for the two accounts, …). The two websites are genesfrance.com and triathlongardanne.wordpress.com.

    Please, help me because I do not know what to do with that hacker!

    Hi there,

    I see there has been a lot of password and email changes to the genesport username account that owns genesfrance.com. If those changes were unauthorised and you can no longer access the account, please submit the account recovery form including the transaction ID and as much information as possible. That’s the only way we can help with this.

    Account Recovery

    There has been no recent changes at all to the username account, etriathlongardanne, who owns the site, triathlongardanne.wordpress.com, so there is no reason to believe that account has been hacked.

    However, if that is your account and you’re unable to access it, also please use the account recovery form for that site.

    Thank you very much for your fast reply.

    I made few password modifications without modifying the email address during the last weeks to make the password safer by adding capital letters and numbers (I still remember the three first passwords I used). Only the very last modification of the email address and the password was done by the hacker Esther Coulaud. I contacted the account recovery service but since the support contacted the new recovery address (hers), she could deactivate the account recovery before I could do anything.

    Before creating genesfrance.com I created with my own account (etiennethibaud) the jessayeunsite.wordpress.com website as a test before buying the domain. You can easily see that the two sites are almost identical.

    For etriathlongardanne, the hacker (still the same person) changed the password for the email address (email visible only to moderators and staff), so I cannot access the activation URL or any information to prove that I created this website. All I have is the original ID and password I used when I created it on January 16 (I don’t know when she modified the password), and an expired export link for this website from my personal account (etiennethibaud). I created this website and genesfrance.com based on the template I made for my professional website thibaudetienne.wordpress.com.

    It is now two days that I saw this person hacked my two websites, and I am extremely worried about the situation. I contacted passwordhelp but they still don’t reply to me. I really don’t know what to do.

    I contacted the account recovery service but since the support contacted the new recovery address (hers), she could deactivate the account recovery before I could do anything.

    That is not how it works. If you submit the account recovery form, we’ll reply to you to the address specified on the form. I don’t see any prior account recovery tickets submitted using the account/email address you’re using to post in this thread.

    The password and email address for that WordPress.com account has not been changed, as I said above. That account is still using the same email address that was used to create it two months ago.

    If someone has hacked your email account, you need to contact your email provider for help. We cannot help with that.

    I sent an account recovery ticket for my genesport account (my etiennethibaud account is the only one I can access, that’s why I write you from this account), and received an e-mail at the address I mentioned in the form ((email visible only to moderators and staff)), but she also received it at the address she used to hack the account ((email visible only to moderators and staff)) and replied before me to the passwordhelp@wordpress.com support assistant that : “No, thanx.
    I never ask to change or recover anything.” Then the assistant stopped the procedure.

    For etriathlongardanne, I just tried again to type the password I used for creating the website (endurancetriathlongardanne) and I still cannot access the account.

    I see there are already two existing account recovery tickets associated with the Gmail address you gave here. Please wait for a reply there. We cannot help with this in the public forums.

    You have never mentioned endurancetriathlongardanne before. The site, endurancetriathlongardanne.wordpress.com, belongs to the username, endurancetriathlongardanne, not the username, etriathlongardanne.

    As I’ve said repeatedly in this thread, if you need help accessing an account the account recovery form is the only way to do it. We cannot help with this in the forums, so I’m closing this thread.

    Please don’t create new threads on this, but wait for an email reply on your account recovery tickets.
