EMERGENCY – One of my sites now displaying other site

    One of my sites
    A Canadian Family
    http://acanadianfamily.wordpress.com
now displays the homepage of The College of Family Physicians of Canada.

This is true when accessing from my dashboard and from Google.

Google has also been displaying a search result indicating that the owner of A Canadian Family should contact them because t”here has been a data leak”.

    You’re welcome.

  • I’m not sure what you’re referring to.

At http://acanadianfamily.com/ (which is mapped to acanadianfamily.wordpress.com), I see a blog titled “A Canadian Family”

This site has also logged no significant changes in the past month besides comments being left and/or deleted.

Thank you macmanx and the sacred path, I have also noted that it is now back to normal and will check for virus/malware.

Just to be clear, what happened for a period of about 20 minutes this afternoon was that when using Google or Yahoo to arrive at my site (by typing in the search term A Canadian Family) my site would come in the list, I would click on it and the site I mentioned above would pop up. In the little bar at the top of the page it had my site address plus the following – /home.

After returning back to Google search engine again, I got a list of search results including my (fake) site. Lower down on the search list there was what looked like a normal heading (which I didn’t click) and there was a message to the effect that the owners of the site A Canadian Family should click on it because my site was experiencing a severe data leak.

Thank you for your attention and I will contact you again if there’s a problem.

Thanks for the detailed report. I really think this is an issue with malware, but if it’s a weird Google redirect, that needs to be fixed!
