  Hiya.

  Do know that when you empty a site, the URL is still available to you, but the site is empty.

  To empty your site :

  1. Open your desired blog’s admin dashboard, go to “Tools” menu, click “Delete Site” and choose an option.

  2. Choose “Empty my site of all content” to empty content only, and then follow the instructions given.

  @gitapsblog – Unless they have a paid upgrade, the instructions you gave will just round about them back to the community forums. Here are the instructions for emptying a site of content; you do not need Staff assistance to do this. http://en.support.wordpress.com/empty-site/

  Apparently this is a duplicate thread and the OP has entirely deleted their site.
