Emptying a page…

Ok, I followed the directions, thought I had emptied the page, but when I checked, everything is still there. Yes, I backed everything up by a simple select all and copy, then pasted it into a wordprocessor on my computer.
    What am I doing wrong?

    Hi,

Where did you find the instructions that you’ve followed? Backing up the content of a page before deleting it is a good idea, but that action alone does nothing to empty the content.

If you’re using a mouse, then removing the content of a static page can be done by right clicking on the mouse while holding the cursor over the content in the page editor, clicking the “select all” option to highlight all content, and then clicking “delete” either in the menu, if the browser has that option, or on the keyboard, before updating the page.

To remove part of the content in a page editor, just highlight that portion of the content and delete it.
