  I want to empty my blog content yet retain the domain address.

  How big is it? Can you not delete individual blogs then? The domain is yours for life as long as you continue paying the fees every two years.

  If you just don’t want your old stuff following you around, you can set the whole site to Private and then do your deletions over time.
