emptying my blog
-
Hello, I’d like to permanently remove my soundquilt wordpress blog. It was part of a project that I am no longer working on, so I would like to empty the blog and remove it in its entirely. I would, however, like to maintain my wordpress account so I can start a new different blog in the future. Can someone tell me how I can do that?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Are you asking how to delete the blog at http://soundquilt.wordpress.com/?
Or are you asking how do I delete the content in http://soundquilt.wordpress.com/ and keep the blog URL and use it for publishing other content? -
Each blog is an independent website. No matter how many blogs are registered under the same WordPress.COM username account deleting one blog or doing anything at all on one blog has no impact on any other blogs ever.
To delete a free hosted WordPress.COM blog you must be logged in under the exact same username account that registered a blog to delete the blog. To prevent accidental or inadvertent deletion of blogs, there are multiple warnings given that blog deletion is permanent and irreversible. Lastly, a verification link is sent in an email and must be clicked to delete a blog. If clicking that link does not work then copy and paste it into your upper browser window and click.

Deleted blog URLs are not recycled, regardless of who registered and deleted them and no exceptions are made.

You have two options for emptying blog content and retaining the blog URL.
option 1
Provided you are logged in as Admin under the exact same username account that registered the blog, you can quickly remove your contents by deleting them in bulk.
bulk delete images & media http://en.support.wordpress.com/media/deleting-files/#bulk-deletion
bulk delete posts > http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/edit-posts-screen/#bulk-edit
bulk delete pages > http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/edit-pages-screen/#bulk-edit
Here’s how to permanently delete Trash >

http://en.support.wordpress.com/trash/#deleting-permanentlyIMPORTANT NOTE: Deleting blog content does not remove it from the SERPs (search engine page results). Google and Bing only clear their caches of deleted indexed content that produces a 404 (page not found) every 3 – 6 months. To completely remove an entire page from Google search results: https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/1663419?hl=en
option 2
If you have lots of content and are willing to wait, Staff can empty the whole blog for you. That will remove all data including posts, pages, tags, categories, comments, and uploaded files and once deleted, the data cannot be recovered. If you are sure you want Staff to proceed, then type modlook into the tags in the sidebar for Staff attention and post again to this thread to:
(1) confirm the URL of the blog you want them to empty;
(2) confirm that you know content deletion is irreversible. -
