You can accomplish clearing your site fairly easily with bulk actions whenever you’re ready.

I’m having challenges transporting material from blogspot to wordpress. For some reason at first blogspot didn’t export all the posts, just a part of them to the new wordpress blog. I moved them to trash can and exported again. I started a new blog on blogspot to test if the second export was working correct and it was, I had all the posts and pages there. But now nothing happens when I try to import them to wordpress. I’ve tried it twice, about a week ago and yesterday. I’ve done it according to the instructions of how to transfer them from blogspot to wordpress. What should I do?

It says on WordPress import has been done and it’s starting processing. But then nothing shows up on posts or pages.

I had a look at the last file you tried to import, and it’s a Blogger template file, not an export file of your content.
Blogger offers two export options – one for the template, and the other is called a Site Backup. You can see their instructions here:

Please make sure you export using the backup option, not the template option – the template file is also a .xml file, so our importer accepts and tries to process it, but it doesn’t actually contain your content, which is why nothing is importing.
I moved them to trash can and exported again.
You don’t need to delete anything before re-importing a file – the importer automatically checks if a post already exists, and won’t cause posts to be duplicated. Also note that a deleted post that’s still in Trash still counts as on the site for the importer – you’ll have to delete the post from the trash as well before you’ll be able to re-import it, if that’s what you prefer.
