Emptying the WP trash
-
Hello,
I’ve got about 500 posts in the trash bin. When I try to empty it, I get an error message. Is there a way to workout the problem?
Thanks -

Can you specify the message?
Also, note that files in the trash are automatically deleted after 30 days.

My message was: I need to delete all the posts in my blog, in order to upload an updated xml file (I’mo moving from wordpress.org to wordpress.com). Is there a way to bulk delete all the posts at once?

@timethief, thanks, I knew that link. I’m having problems because, when I try to empty the trash, I get an error and the deletion fails.

@phastidio, that might be silly – have you tried to get rid of the comments in a couple of times? ie deleting 200 comments, then other 200 comments etc? Maybe the system crashes due to the high number of comments to process?

Yes, but I noticed a slowdown even when I try to move into trash a block of 20 posts.
Thanks
