Enable comments

Hello. I can’t seem to enable comments on my site. For example, I go to ‘Settings’, ‘Discussion’, etc. and check the appropriate boxes, but Comments are sill listed as ‘Off’. Please advise. Thank you.

What is the link of the blog you _do_ need help with, please?
Under My Site > Settings > Discussion is “Allow people to post comments on new articles” blue? That will turn comments “on” for your blog. If this is blue, you can also check that:
- “Automatically close comments on articles older than ___ days” has a value of at least *1* day.
- Comments are not being routed to spam
- Comments are not blocked due to a black list
Comments can also be controlled on the Post level. In My Sites > Posts click on a published post. Under the “Post Settings” menu there is a “More Settings” sub-menu. Clicking on this and scrolling down, is “allow comments” checked?
If you’re still having an issue I recommend ensuring it is not a browser-related issue.

This will ensure that your browser is up to date and supported, your browser cache & cookies are clean, that JavaScript is enabled, and more.
You can also try using a different browser.
If this doesn’t work, please:
- let us know what device you’re using to connect to the Internet
- let us know which browser & version you are using
- the name of the blog you need help with
- tag the post *modlook* in the sidebar (which will flag a Staff member to take a look).

I’ve done all the steps in question through “Settings”, “Discussion”, etc. and have checked the appropriate boxes. That does not work.
I’ve looked at my older posts and I do not see an option for “Post Settings”, “More Settings”, etc.
I’m running Google Chrome on Windows 10, I’ve refreshed, cleared my cache, cookies, etc. That does not work, either. I’m at a bit of a loss here; this should be an easy fix.
Also, I’m having trouble finding how to edit my avatar/ profile settings for posting here on the Forums! I can’t seem to eliminate my old, defunct website from my posting. That should be an easy fix, as well.

OK, I figured it out. I had to go to “Bulk Actions”, “Edit”, and “Allow” comments on all old posts. I still need help in editing my posting profile here on the forums, however, thank you.
