That is, I want my blog on wordpress.com to live at: https://legalinformatics.wordpress.com/ . How do I enable this? Thanks.

Hi there,
You can enable https (or SSL), but when you enable it, it is only for you when you are logged in to your administration pages. In this case, when you are viewing your own blog the links will be shown to you as starting with “https://…” but when posting to other people you should change them to “http://…”.
You can read more about https/SSL support here:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/https/
Cheers!

hanks, but that’s not responsive to my question.
I’m not quite sure what you mean. You wouldn’t be able to do this:
I want to add https for public access to my blog.
You can only enable it for yourself when you are logged into your Dashboard.
Let me know if you have any further questions about this.
