Enable mobile theme on Twenty Seventeen?
-
I did try to enable the mobile theme on wp-admin
Is it no allowed to enable mobile theme on Twenty Seventeen? -
Twenty Seventeen is a responsive theme.
The mobile ready theme is a default theme and a completely different theme that you do not need to enable, if your theme is listed as a responsive layout theme here https://theme.wordpress.com/themes/features/responsive-layout/
The mobile default theme is provided for those who run older themes that aren’t the gold standard which is responsive layout.
A responsive layout theme adapts to different screen sizes so that your website will work (and be optimized for) iPhones, iPads, Android and other mobile devices. When responsive width themes are viewed on mobiles sidebars appear below the posts in order to provide as much space as possible for reading.
When we use a responsive theme we disable the mobile theme. Go to >Dashboard > Appearance > Mobile and disable the mobile theme

Thank you for your reply!
May I know how to avoid the website front page photo to be low resolution? It’s look very blur. I already tried to upload photo with 2000 x 1200. Thank you!

I took a look at your site nerolee.com in Firefox on a Mac with a retina screen, and all your images on the homepage look very sharp from this end.
Is it blurry in one specific browser, and if so, which?

Could you also let me know if you’re seeing blurriness on a specific device? If so, please let me know:
– exact device – i.e. iPhone 5s
– exact OS – i.e. iOS 11.01
– browsers – i.e. Safari -
Hi Kathrynwp
The site looks great on my MacBook.
Only the “Header Image” looks blurry
on my iphone6 and iPad mini ios10. I also tried on my other friends’ iPhone.
The other pictures are fine in high resolution.

Hi there – after some investigation, it seems like this is a known issue in Twenty Seventeen – you can see the ticket here:
https://core.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/39253
Since I can’t give you an ETA on when this might be fixed, you might want to try a different them instead. You could check out Lodestar, which is quite similar to Twenty Seventeen, but uses a different method for the header.

After switching themes, you might need to reassign your widgets to the new widget areas – you can do that here by dragging them from the Inactive Widget area at the bottom left:
https://neroleecom.wordpress.com/wp-admin/widgets.php
You might also need to reassign your menu to the theme.
Let me know how it goes.
