Enable search engines – categories?
-
Hey everyone… I have a question.
I would like my blog to be listed on search engines as I understand it brings more traffic. BUT as soon as I enable that feature, all my categories are gone. For example, if a visitor clicks on VIDEOS, the will no longer be redirected to MY video related posts but to a kind of general dashboard.
Is there a way to enable search engines but keep ones’ categories? I just don’t see how these two things are linked and why…
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You can add your categories into the sidebar by using CATEGORIES widgets. Global Tags are active on your posts and pages (I Mean to say, on main part of your blog). The global tags pages actually increase your search engine juice and end up bringing you more
hits than you would normally get.

I do use the category widget but really would like the categories underneath each post to link to MY set of categories. Does that make sense?

The Global Tags produce a lot of traffic for some blogs here and that is why they are used. I think the iNove theme allows you to keep your Tags to yourself.
The Global Tags is actually part of the WordPress.COM magic as it allows your site to potentially be linked to and visited by about 25,000,000 other blogs.

You can turn them off in iNove:
Appearance —> Theme Options —> near the bottom you see these choices:
Posts Show author on posts. Show categories on posts. Show tags on posts.
Un-check the categores and tags options
