Enable Summary on mainpage for DePo MASThead

  HOW DO I ENABLE A SUMMARY VIEW OF MY POSTS FOR THE MAIN PAGE?
  Can I enable a summary of my posts for the main page of DePo Masthead theme? My posts are rather long and the widgets are so far at the bottom of my page. I merely want a brief summery of my posts, and then the viewer can click on my titles to view full text/entire posting. Please help, I can’t find that option anywhere,…maybe it’s not one?
