Enable to make private pages public
-
Hello,
Recently my website turned off every page on my website from public to private. I thought it was due to expired licenses of WPML for English pages but I subscribed again and it is still not working.
When I try to make the page public it just doesn’t take it into account and let them private.Do you know what to do about that?
Thank you!

Hi there Raphael
Could you share the site you are trying to fix? And maybe a page or post you are trying to publish that has this problem.

Hi Raphael,
It doesn’t look like you have any sites hosted with us, and that along with your mention of WPML makes me think that you might be using the open source version of WordPress at another hosting provider instead.
Support for that version of WordPress is provided by the WordPress.org community at https://wordpress.org/support/forums/, though if the issue is related to a specific plugin, it would be better to contact support for the plugin directly.
You can find the support page for WPML here:

Hello,
The website is this one: https://clarity-technologies.com/.
It is hosted with WordPress.
Here are 2 pages: https://clarity-technologies.com/about/

Hi @raphcertain31,
I’m afraid that we can’t help directly because your
clarity-technologies.comsite is not with WordPress.com managed hosting. As such, we don’t have the ability to take a closer look at your site.Instead, your host uses open-source WordPress.org software, which differs from what we offer here on WordPress.com.
The good news though is that help is available in the WordPress.org forums: https://wordpress.org/support/forum/how-to-and-troubleshooting/
Otherwise, you may want to contact OVH or WPMLfor further support.
I hope that points you in the right direction.

Hi Raphael,
Right now it seems every page from your site gives a 404: Page not found error.
But now, checking your site, I can confirm what Kokkieh mentioned before is right.
Your site https://clarity-technologies.com/ is not hosted here on WordPress.com and instead, it is using the self-hosted installation of WordPress.org hosted elsewhere (https://us.ovhcloud.com/), which is quite different. You can learn more about the differences here: https://wordpress.com/com-vs-org/Because of those differences, you’ll find better help with your problem in their support forum https://wordpress.org/support/forum/how-to-and-troubleshooting/
But as mentioned before, if the plugin is causing this problem, the support for WPML would be the best place to get help. -
Hello,
Ok, I understand the difference. I will contact their support directly.
Thank you both for the help and recommendations.
