Enable WordPress, Movable Type, MetaWeblog and Blogger XML-RPC publishing pr

Hi,
I am told I need to check the following : ‘Enable the WordPress, Movable Type, MetaWeblog and Blogger XML-RPC publishing protocols’, that is supposed to be in the ‘Settings > Writing’ section.
I cannot find this in my dashboard. How do I enable this?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Before you get too far in, I’m going to advise you to review the types of blogs that are suitable for WP.com as opposed to WP.org. Just from your username and this question, I’m thinking what you really need is a .org site, not one here.
http://en.wordpress.com/types-of-blogs/
what it does not say explicitly in there but staff DO enforce is: if you use WP.com to sell products you yourself did not make with your own hands, it’s going to be suspended. So I may be quite wrong here, but I think you should set up with WordPress.ORG instead of .COM. There are no such restrictions there.

Your blog linked to your username is a free hosted wordpress.com blog. This is the wordpress.com support documentation link >http://en.support.wordpress.com
I typed “XML-RPC” into the search box there are found this http://en.support.wordpress.com/xml-rpc/ -
Hi,
Thanks for your reply. Frankly, I never realized there was a difference, or even two different WordPress! I would assume, like many, that a .com extension means business orientated. It would make logical sense if the ‘.org’ and ‘.com’ WordPress extensions were transposed…
OK, so I made a mistake, and I purchased a domain for use here, can I now use it with WordPress.org? How would I transfer it?
Can I get hosting using WordPress.org or will I have to get hosting via another vendor such as http://www.bluehost.com?

There are differences see here > http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
You own your domain name and you do not have to use it on a wordpress.com blog. You can use it on a wordpress.ORG install. But you don’t need a domain mapping upgrade as the wordpress.com is empty. Contact Staff and request a domain mapping refund and include a link to this thread. http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/

Hi to all who replied. Many thanks for the advice and for spotting my error before it became a real problem. I appreciate it.
I have also contacted Staff and asked for the domain mapping refund as suggested.
One thing though. As the domain name is mine, I can use it anywhere as you say, but would it technically count as transferring the domain (from WordPress.com to .org), as I read somewhere else that this cannot be done within 30 days of purchase? What are the WordPress rules on this as I purchased it through them?
