enabled ssl and redirect of http to https resulting in error 404

  So I royally stuffed this one up, by enabling ssl (without updating cert), and enabling http redirect to https. I’m trying to login to my website via filezilla, but can not connect to server. The error I’m getting is
  status: resolving address of (website)
  status: connecting to (ip address)
  error: connection timed out after 20 seconds of inactivity
  error: could not connect to server
  How do I get past this issue?

  Hi fstat,

  After rummaging around some more I’m thinking I should have posted this in wordpress.org and not .com, as it uses wordpress as a site builder, not hosted on word press. But if you can help out regardless it’s worldwideweed.nl – it’s a research website.
