Enabling Storify embeds on WordPress.com
-
Hi! I’ve had various WordPress blogs since 2007 and I enjoy your platform. I also really enjoy the ease of Storify when it comes to collecting, formatting and sourcing social media posts.
I am disappointed I can’t embed my Storify posts in WordPress. I’m still creating the Storify posts, but now I have to send my traffic away from WP because WP doesn’t support the embed.
Storify says WordPress.com has to whitelist the source. Can you please – pretty please with a cherry on top – whitelist Storify? Please.
Link from Livefyre/Storify about the whitelisting:
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Thanks for the link. WordPress.com and Storify both have changed embedding policies since that 2012 post .
I was able to embed posts on WordPress.com last year, but I had to play with the code a lot to get it to look decent:
WordPress.com has now disabled that option. When I paste the embed code from Storify, WordPress.com automatically converts it into a simple hyperlinked phrase. I do not have this problem on another non-Wordpress.com site I contribute to.
Here’s all I can get now:
Livefyre has bought Storify and more changes have happened, mainly good. But Livefyre says it is WordPress that is blocking embeds on WordPress.com:
Please, WordPress, whitelist Storify. I am losing traffic because I can’t embed.
