Encryption for video tutorials e-commerce.

    Hi,
    I am planning to start a small online business to sell video tutorials on workout exercises, to keep healthy and fit. I chose the Pique theme which allows e-commerce, and I am thinking to upgrade to the Premium plan.
    I would like to know if along with the Premium plan come some encryption feature or tool, for me to be able to encrypt my videos allowing customers to purchase, download and play them on their devices, at the same time preventing them to share a copy of the videos.

    Video encryption on WordPress.com would be best implemented via the Business Plan where you can add plugins for encryption to your site:

    thank you for your reply.

    I am sure that the Business plan would work great, unfortunately is a bit too pricy for me at the moment.
    So, if I am getting right, using the Premium plan, there are no video encryption options at all, is that correct?

    WordPress does not have video encryption built into it by default. However, there are plugins which may make video encryption, along with membership access to those videos, possible.

    By using a membership plugin, and a video encryption plugin, you can offer member-level access to videos that are only available on your website and nowhere else. You can then charge for the membership to earn revenue. The videos would never need to leave your site which reduces the chances of someone copying them.
