Ended up with a double blog

  Hi all – bit of a strange query, but I’ve somehow ended up with two blogs of the same name and I don’t understand how / why.

  I moved from self hosted back to wordpress.com but in the process ended up with Brightershadeofgreen.wordpress.com and brightershadeofgreen.co.uk.

  It’s not the end of the world but I’m not sure if I have a load of followers stuck somewhere not receiving my posts and how to clear up the back end so I only have one site. Bit wary of deleting randomly in case I delete something I shouldn’t do.

  Can anyone in admin advise on whether the wordpress.com can be killed and followers retrieved or whether I should leave it as it is.

  You do not have two blogs. You have one blog, with two domain names. It’s all good.

  But are there not followers stuck on one of the domains and do I need to delete the wordpress.com domain?

  No, if you delete the wordpress.com domain the blog disappears entirely and neither URL works. There is nothing you need to do. All your subscribers are still getting your updates. It’s like a house that used to have one door; now it has two. It’s still the same house.
