Endless confirmation loop to update profile photo?

    Hi ! I am trying to update my profile photo, but I seem to be caught in a loop. I click ‘update profile photo’ on my WP account and it takes me to a page that says this [paraphrasing]:

    We sent you a confirmation email! Click it and you can start using Gravatar, if you didn’t receive it click here to resend the email.

    I click the confirmation link the email and am redirected to a page that says this:

    Your wordpress account has been activated! Thank you for confirming. Sign in to Gravatar.

    I click ‘sign in’ and it takes me to a page that says this:

    We sent you a confirmation email! Click it and you can start using Gravatar, if you didn’t receive it click here to resend the email.

    I’ve tried re-sending the email a couple of times, and it just takes me though the same loop again and again. I’ve tried signing into wordpress with both my email address and my username in case that would make a difference.

    Any ideas of what’s going wrong?
