Endless scroll? Need maximum posts shown on home page, then "next" etc
-
Hello! I am currently using the “Rowling” theme. Does anybody know how I can change the theme/settings so the front page shows a certain number of posts, then has something basic like “next” and “previous” buttons as opposed to endless scroll? My posts are very image heavy and my concern is not only aesthetics (which is equally important), but overall loading capacity for the website.
I attempted to find an option in Customize something like “Show ___ number of posts” (to show on the front page) and I was unable to find any.
Any help appreciated, very new to wordpress. :)

ALSO PLEASE NOTE BEFORE VISITING MY SITE:
My site contains artistic nudity, and thus is considered NSFW.Please keep this in mind before visiting, and as a side note, how do I mark my blog as mature?
I downloaded an Age Gate plugin (for legal reasons and also as a courtesy) but from what I understand, wordpress themselves would like to know what blogs contain NSFW content.

Hi,
Two steps:
- 1. Disable infinite scroll, if it is presently enabled, at My Sites → Settings → Writing → Theme Enhancements > Infinite Scroll, as described and illustrated in the Disabling Infinite Scroll section of the Infinite Scroll support page.
- 2. Set the desired number of posts per page at My Sites → Settings → Writing → Content Types → Blog posts, as described and illustrated in the Content Types section of the Writing Settings support page.

Thank you both! :) My blog has been successfully marked as mature.
The infinite scroll issue still persists, however. Under “Theme enhancements” here are the options I am given, * indicating an on/off switch.
“Infinite Scroll
Create a smooth, uninterrupted reading experience by loading more content as visitors scroll to the bottom of your archive pages.* Load more posts using the default theme behavior
* Load more posts in page with a button
* Load more posts as the reader scrolls down
* Enhance CSS customization panel”
If I turn on “Load more posts in page with a button”, the infinite scrolling stops, and the number specified under Feed settings>Display # most recent blog posts appear, but there is no button to view more. No “next” or “more” button of any kind, the feed simply stops as if nothing else exists.
I am also having issues with the footer credit still appearing despite having selected “Hide” in the footer settings of the theme customization (another thread is open about this). I bring this up here because I noticed this appearing again after I started messing with settings in WordPress to try to stop the infinite scrolling, so I wonder if the issues are correlated within the theme (something is broken with Rowling itself) or, more likely, if some settings that I selected to attempt a fix overrode other settings and created two problems in place of one :D
Thank you for all replies, I appreciate the help very much.

UPDATE: Upon messing with Site Settings in WordPress, both issues have been fixed by refreshing the option Enhance CSS customization panel. Thank you both for your time!
