Enhancement suggestion: youtube link is not a playlist
-
User posts comment containing
Only to find out that it has become the equivalent to
posting the whole playlist, when in fact the correct interpretation of such links is just a single video (with other videos from the playlist to be shown after that video is finished.)But alas, he only finds out it has been misinterpreted after he posts the comment, and there is no way to delete the comment while it is waiting for moderation.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi @jidanni
This URL will show just a video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3QRy-PEgblsThis one includes a playlist (after the &list parameter)
-
Yes, the first one when shared in a comment, renders correctly: as it does when clicking on the link.
The second one however does not. Try it your self. A comment containing the second link has a embed created by your system that is quite different than what one sees when one clicks directly on that link.

I’ve just confirmed, the second link (which included a playlist in its parameters) plays a playlist. Cheers!
-
However I recall when embedded in a comment it started from the first item in the playlist, not at the given item.

Ah. I understand now. Yes, the playlist will play from the beginning, and I’ll pass along the suggestion to let it start at a specific video.
