enlarge photos without changing width of text??

    I am trying to enlarge my photos on my blog without expanding the width of the text.
    I HAVE figured out how to enlarge the photo (by changing width in #primary) BUT if spills over onto the gray border and looks bad. So first, how do i get rid of the gray to just have an all white background. Also, i cannot figure out for the life of me how to keep the text part width the same as it always has been (500 vs. 899 for photos).

    Does this make sense? Thanks so much in advance for any help!!

    the photo is only going to appear as big as the content, so if the photo will be at least 500. To removed the borders you add this,

    #primary .entry-content img {
    border: none;
    }

    thanks so much about the borders. So there is no way to enlarge the photo without enlarging the text area?

    you’re welcome and not that I know of with your blog theme. I’m sure it would be done using the sandbox theme but not yours, maybe you’ll figure it out, IDK.
