Hi. I believe our company’s website is hosted in your server. We are upgrading and have changed our website. I will need to retrieve the login credentials for that. How do I go about getting it?
WP.com: Yes
Correct account: Unknown -
Hello there,
Many thanks for reaching out.
Are you able to confirm the URL of the website that you need assistance with please?
-
Hi there,
That site belongs to a different account from the one you used to post here.
If you don’t remember the login details for the correct account, please follow our account recovery process at https://en.support.wordpress.com/account-recovery/ so we can help you regain access.

Hi there
Thanks for the prompt reply. The problem I am facing is that our organisation doesn’t have a very big team and frankly the team who did this have all left and did not leave any records regarding the website.
I am now taking charge of the organisation and thus having trouble getting access to this. We do not even know which account was used to set this up and that’s why I started my own..
Is there any way i can find out the account used or what alternatives do I have to move on..?

Unfortunately we’re not able to give you any information about the accounts that owns the site or the upgrades associated with the site.
If the upgrades on the site was bought using a company credit card, you should be able to retrieve a transaction ID from a past statement. That will allow you to verify ownership of the account that owns the upgrades using our account recovery form:
https://wordpress.com/support/billing-history/#retrieving-a-transaction-id
Another option is to try resetting the password using the company email addresses of the previous team’s members, in case they perhaps used a company email for their accounts.
But unless you have access to the email used for the account, or can provide another form of verification, like a transaction ID, I’m afraid we won’t be able to give you access to the accounts.

Hi there.
I am not sure what was done to our website URL but we cannot see or retrieve it since Monday. As mentioned, the previous staff did not leave any information to the account.
Can I check if the following email was used as the account owner?
(email visible only to moderators and staff)This was the previous GM’s email and is no longer in use. Can you please let us know how we can proceed further without having to forgo the Domain name?
Thank you
Regards

Hello there,
Can I check if the following email was used as the account owner?
(email visible only to moderators and staff)We wouldn’t be able to assist with this information.
Was there a purchase made with a card that you control? If yes, you would be best placed to search for a transaction ID: https://en.support.wordpress.com/billing-history/#retrieving-a-transaction-id

Oh dear.
Looks like there is no help at all.
As mentioned, we do not have any records of the transactions. Thus I could only try to figure out if the email I produced earlier was used as the owner. That email is no longer in used as the person has passed away.Anyway, can I get a confirmation that WordPress has stopped our URL as we cannot access the website anymore? At least we know that was what happened..
Thanks

What expired was the WordPress.com Premium subscription – which included a domain connection to
caringfleet.com. The domain itself is registered elsewhere and had its DNS set to point to WordPress.com which is why you’re seeing an error message on the site currently.Eventually that mapping should be removed by our system due to nonpayment and the site would be accessible at the free URL
caringfleet.wordpress.com.If you still need to gain backend access to this site, please send an email to
passwordhelp (at) wordpress (dot) comexplaining the situation, and WordPress.com support can see if there’s anything we can do for you.Best of luck.
