  Hi,

  I would like to ask how flexible can we change the domain name? Lets just say, 2020 my site is beautylove.com however in 2025, i want to expand my blog and change to foodbeautylove.com. Also, am i able to edit the codes inside wordpress plugins like if i feel that certain features of these wordpress plugins can be customised to my needs, is it that flexible or how flexible is it? Are these possible?

  Hi Valerie, you won’t be able to edit the code for plugins unless you have the WordPress.com Business Plan, but the features on WordPress.com are already pretty flexible. So it may be less about editing code and more about adjusting settings. If you’ll be more specific about what you might want to change, we can send more details.

  And yes you can change your domain. Just bear in mind:

  – If you have a paid domain at first and want a new paid domain, you’ll need to buy the second one, too

  – It may be a good idea to redirect your old address to the new one, just so older links will keep working.
