Hi There, i have 2 questions to ask. I have recently posted a blog and added the tags and catagories etc. When i go to reader page and type in the search bar i my blog post doesnt come up on the search, neither does it come up if i type in any of the categories and tags that are linked with the post. The second question is how do i create a link on my blog to a a link for my book on amazon. Ive tried the link setting when creating the blog but it doesnt link it.

Here’s a checklist of reasons your posts might be hidden. It looks like you have a couple too many tags and categories.
Try getting rid of a few, for example you don’t need the default uncategorized category once you’ve chosen a category. You also don’t really need to duplicate things in both categories and tags, once you’ve tidied those up that should help.

Thanks, that is helpful, I will check the tags and settings. I also typed the blog title into the search bar and it still didn’t come up?

Hi Brennan, I’m not exactly how the search function works in the reader but it might be that the site or post popularity has something to do with how the results are returned (like with most search engines).
As your site is pretty new it means that there are probably other sites that get ranked higher for the words in your site title. You are showing up though, I just checked the addiction tag and scrolled down the page and your post is listed there.

Awesome, thank you, really appreciate the prompt response and your help. I’m also having a bit of trouble creating a link to my book in Amazon from my blog post
