Ensuring complete copy of my website before taking off GoDaddy Hosting
-
I sent you an email asking WordPress to verify whether I’ve made a valid working copy of my website (made with cPanel WordPress) before I shut it down, to later transfer for hosting at WordPress. I need this done by Aug 19th.

Hi,
If your site is currently hosted with GoDaddy, WordPress.com support staff cannot assist in making a backup. We can only help with sites that are hosted here on WordPress.com. We have no access to sites built with the open-source WordPress software (from WordPress.org) and hosted elsewhere.
However, here are the instructions for making a backup. If you have trouble, GoDaddy’s support team should be able to help you out:

Take a look and let us know if anything is unclear or you have any further questions.

If you were to purchase a WordPress.com Business plan then the whole site can be imported to here. Your current site would still need to be online, not shut down though.
