“Enter” Doesn’t Work
-
I made a page and I want to separate two paragraphs with two or three “enters” but when I click “publish” it moves them close together again. This is very frustrating!

I see that you are asking several questions in these forums, and a good tip for you is to post your link to the blog you are referring to each time you ask a question. Or better yet, link your blog to your name:

2. How to make your name link to your blog:
Go into your dashboard -> users -> your profile -> then scroll down to ‘contact info’. In the spot where it says ‘website’ fill in the address of your blog and save the changes.
Now… when you comment here and on other blogs, your name will link to your blog. If you do this before you post your request for help, it will allow forum volunteers to be able to help you quicker since they won’t have to ask you for a link and wait until you come back to post one. This may help:

You are welcome.
You are very polite or a fast reader! (of the link I thought would help)
(If you want to provide a live link to your blog, start it with http:// so it is clickable for us volunteers who really do like to help you here in these forums.)

Will do. I’m quite new to computers and very new to web issues. Yall are quite gracious.

inearnestexpectation,
From the bit I know, this really is a very nice, friendly, and helpful forum that does not get sidetracked into spam and name-calling and such. Comment again if my link did not help. I do my best, and know a little, but am no expert.
Best wishes to you in your blogging… -
As for your question, the editor doesn’t accept multiple returns, so you need to do that with code (in the html editor, of course). See here:

Ha! Second time you’re catching me being careless today! Got lost in the galanteries and didn’t notice the link you gave – sorry.
And yours was a better choice than mine: gives credit to devblog who originally suggested it (correcting a previous amateurish solution of mine), and avoids the bad title of the other thread. Only problem it’s missing the simpler alternative. Next time the question crops up, I’ll write a new reply.
By the way, the OP’s idea in that thread was some suggestion! Instead of a simple pair of div tags, create a blank gif, upload and insert it, resize it, possibly add code to remove border introduced by theme… Oh boy!
