Entered the wrong email address by registration, please help

  Hello

  I entered the wrong email address by registration, and now I can’t sign in anymore on WordPress. Is it possible to delete the account, and use the same domain name for my new account? I really need the domain name for a school assignment.

  Every WordPress.COM blog has a sole owner. It is the person with the WordPress.COM username account who registered the blog under that username account and a single associated email address, and who is the original Admin of the blogs registered under that username account. You can create one gravatar for every username account that applies to all blogs registered under the same username account and email address.

  There is a single email address that can be used on only one wordpress.COM username account and not on any others, regardless of how many blogs are registered under that username account.

  Hi @persuasivewriting2016, since you just created the account, you can log in now with the wrong address (but the right password) then head to https://wordpress.com/me/account to update the address. Let us know if you need help with this!

  Hi @supernovia

  First of all I would like to say thank you for your response! I tried to sign in with the wrong address ( (email visible only to moderators and staff) ) but it still doesn’t work. Can you please help me?

  @persuasivewriting2016 can you sign in with the proper username instead? Or what happened when you tried to sign in with the address?

  @supernovia, when I try to sign in with the name pdbmariskapiecq or the wrong email address I get the notification : ERROR: The password you entered for the email or username pdbmariskapiecq is incorrect.

  Ah, if the email was wrong and you don’t remember the password, and you don’t have any purchases on the account, we don’t have any way to prove its yours. If you can remember the password you set up, feel free to log in and update as needed. Otherwise I recommend creating a new account.
