Entered the wrong email at registration and now can't change it

I entered the wrong email at registration. I accidentally put (email visible only to moderators and staff), instead of (email visible only to moderators and staff) (not the actual addresses, but you see the difference). Now I can’t change it, because I have to verify the email address (which probably doesn’t exist) before I can change the email address. Please, someone help me out of this mess.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Jeez, it’s not even letting me put the email addresses in.
I put an email address ending ‘@’, then ‘google’, then ‘.’, then ‘com’.
Should have been an email address ending ‘@’, then ‘gmail’, then ‘.’, then ‘com’.

  • Hi @blphilosophyessays,

because I have to verify the email address (which probably doesn’t exist) before I can change the email address.

Actually, verification will be sent to the new address. The old address (if it exists) will simply get notification of the change and an option to contact us if it was not intentional.

Can you enter the correct address at https://wordpress.com/me/account then confirm the change?

Jeez, it’s not even letting me put the email addresses in.

Our forum automatically redacts email addresses from everyone but staff, for your privacy. We saw it and understood though.

    Hi,

Thanks, seems to have worked (sorry for the grumpiness!).
