Entered wrong email address during registration

  I entered the wrong email when trying to create a new blog. The email doesn’t exist, and when I go to edit the email in my profile, it won’t allow me to change it. What can I do?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Don’t worry. Staff can fix this but you have to post both the incorrect and correct email address here for them to do that. I’ll tag the thread for their attention. The software will redact ie. HIDE the email addresses so only Staff can see them. After you do that subscribe to the thread so you are notified when they respond and please be patient while waiting.

  Thanks for your help timethief! The incorrect email address is (email visible only to moderators and staff) and the correct is (email visible only to moderators and staff) (I can’t believe I made such a stupid mistake!).

  My blog is sacialumniassociation.wordpress.com and the username is sacialumni

  i also did this the email address wrong is (email visible only to moderators and staff) and the correct one is (email visible only to moderators and staff). the blogsite is daisysdreams.wordpress.com

  Hi there sacialumni,

  The email address you’re trying to change to is already linked to a WordPress.com account. Every account has to use a unique email address, so you’ll need to choose a different email address to use with this account. Please let me know if you have any questions about that!

  @lauranicol07 — Have you already tried updating the email address in your account settings to the one you want to use? If that isn’t working for you, please start a new forum thread about that so we can help you with it separately. Thanks!

  I typed the correct email address in my message above. Again, it should be (email visible only to moderators and staff)

  Please let me know if you need anything else from me to fix this. I cannot use the account or post anything because I erroneously entered the wrong email address. So the emails to confirm the account go nowhere – the email doesn’t exist.

  I am sorry to keep bugging you with all these questions! In my personal wordpress account, I changed the email address so I can use (email visible only to moderators and staff) for my newly created work account wordpress. I confirmed my personal account, but the email I am receiving to my (email visible only to moderators and staff) is not allowing me to confirm the change with the sacialumniassociation.wordpress.com account. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you!!!

  I’m so glad it worked out! I checked and made sure that (email visible only to moderators and staff) is linked to your sacialumni account now, the way you want it, and everything looks good to me. :) Just let me know if I can do anything more to help.
