entering a "donate" button

  I’ve unsuccessfully attempted to enter a “donate” button onto my blog site. It’s not that I can’t follow the PayPal directions, it’s that there seems to be a special code or text that needs to be inserted and I can’t figure it out. If anyone with experience in this can assist me it would be greatly appreciated.
  1. What is the code or text that needs to be inserted.
  2. What are the steps to do this.
  3. How do I select where I want the button to be placed within my blog.

  Have you looked at the Support document about using PayPal?
