Entering code with backticks
-
I thought it might be helpful to give people an idea of where to find the backtick key so they can post code more easily.
On UK/US/Canadian monolingual/Dvorak keyboards, it’s the key to the left of the number 1
On Latin American keyboards, it’s the key to the right of the letter P
On French keyboards, it’s the accent grave to the left of the return key
If you’re not sure where to find the backtick key on your keyboard, you can use the Unicode number for it instead (0060).
On Windows:
Hold down the Alt key and type 0060 using the numeric keypadOn a Mac:
Choose the Unicode Hex Input menu from your menu bar (if you don’t know what i’m talking about, see a great explanation here)
Hold down the Option key and type 0060I hope this is helpful :)

Okay, I can’t seem to find the backticks on my laptop which is a Toshiba Satellite. And I can’t seem to be able to do it the Alt+0060 way either because the laptop doesn’t have a numeric keypad. What should I do?
