Entire site gone
-
Created a wordpress.com site that is active and searchable through Google and even seems to be working properly. However, when I log in, the wordpress site says that I have “no wordpress sites yet”. I have verified the user name on the active site and made sure that it is the same login. Where has the stuff gone and how is it still active?

Hi there, what’s the address of that site?
From the sound of it, you might need to be logged in with a different username account to the one you are posting from here in the forums but once we know the site address, we’ll be able to check. Thanks.

Howdy –
I’m following up on the modlook tag. Please let us know which site you’re working on so we can help you get things sorted. Thanks :)

Hi there,
That site is owned by a different WordPress.com account. If you still have access to the email connected to the account, you can enter that email address in the password recovery form:
https://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword
If that doesn’t work, in order to regain access to that account, we’ll need one of the following things:
* A transaction ID for any upgrades purchased for the account
https://en.support.wordpress.com/transaction-id/
* The WordPress.com account activation link, which we sent to your email address when you first registered with us.
For more information please read our Account Recovery guide:

This site is not owned by a different account. It was started and owned by the username that it matches. There have not been any upgrades made to the account so a transaction ID does not exist, and the activation link that was sent was at least 5 years ago. Although the site still exists but is not on its original account what can be done to resolve it?

I can confirm the original owner of the site you mentioned is still the owner. But your “stinesvillemercantile47464” account was created just one month ago.
Can you log out, and try logging in with the username you created 5 years ago?
