    Environmentsco.com is my business site, it iw hosted by Register.com.

    This week, I upgraded the WordPress composer and didn’t upgrade the php.
    Apparently I was running php version 5.3 on register.com’s servers. My site immediately crashed, and I could not load the composer.

    Register.com says that my hosting contract is a ‘legacy’ contract and unable of having the php upgraded to the latest version. Fine, I’ll upgrade the register.com hosting contract, and run a later version of php to get my site back online.

    Can you recommend a preferred version of php that will work with my site?

    Optimally, I’d go with PHP 7.4, which is the latest stable version.

    PHP version 7.4 or greater.
