I transferring a wordpress.com site to Dreamhost. Unfortunately, I do not have access to the ‘domains’ button (when I go to upgrades” it only lists ‘plans”not ‘domains), so I cannot follow the instructions given on the help page. Is there another way to obtain said EPP?

A version of the website is now at dreamhost under http://www.charlaynvonsolms.com.dream.website, but under domain registration it says “unknown” and I keep getting a warning that there may be two websites with the same name in existence (migration went less than smoothly as the WordPress.com site did not allow for plugins so everything had to be exported and imported).

That domain is registered here at WordPress.com, however, the domain registration and plan is under a different account than the one you’re logged into.
You would need to log out of
charlaynvonsolms2e6db8fd38and into that account in order to manage the domain and get the EPP.I hope that clarifies things!

Found it! For some reason, in addition to the new site and the old one, there’s another one that looks like a free WordPress.com site, and I somehow kept ending up there whenever I went looking for the old one.
