EPP CODE – help help help

  • Unknown's avatar

Back in november 2016, I created a site but after a chat with one of your team member, I have been advised that I should have went onto wordpress.org cause I need to use pluggin. The person refunded me and confirmed that I would be able to re – register the same name elsewhere 5 days. It now been more than 44 days and the other host ask me an EPP code from you. How am I supposed to get a code from a website which has been deleted ? how come I cannot get my name of my website back ? What is it so complicated and why no one informed me that I would need an EPP code prior to having the account deleted ? I feel like I have waiting for something I will never get. Please help, I’m so disappointed right now, I had a better opinion of wordpress.com prior this episod to be honest

  • Hi there,

The domain should have been available again in about 5 days, but it looks like there was an error at our registrar, and they never cancelled the domain.

At this point we can’t cancel it any more, but I can restore it to your account and then you’ll be able to transfer it.

First, I’ll need you to please create a new free site via this link:

    https://wordpress.com/start/site/

Only select the free plan and a free address.

Let me know once you’ve done that, then I can connect the domain to the new site and explain how you can get the transfer code.

    Hi,

I ended up doing another domain because I wasn’t seeing the end and I am tied by deadline.

Nevertheless thank you for you answer.

    😊

  • Just to confirm, you no longer want melanatedmotherhood.com?

That domain is yours and fully paid until November, so you can still transfer it if you want it. You’ve been refunded for it already, but you still own it.

If you’re sure you no longer want it we can just leave it to expire, but otherwise let me know and I can help you get it restored and transferred.
