EPP Code – Not Received

    Hi,

So far today I’ve requested an ‘EPP Code’ 3 times as your system keeps indicating that it should only take 15 minutes, if not to try again. How long will it take? (nameservers at WordPress have been changed.)

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Good Morning –

There’s a pending domain transfer in progress for that domain. It takes 5 days to complete on average. There’s nothing we can do to stop the process since it has already been initiated.

This is what I was waiting for. Because WP requires a different email address for each domain, it seems I opened a new email address and completely forgot about it – as I added a forwarding email and regularly used it.

I take it that my WP account will stay open, and the address will revert to “—.wordpress.com”?

    Thanks for the follow-up

  • Hi,

I take it that my WP account will stay open, and the address will revert to “—.wordpress.com”?

Correct! Once the domain is gone, the free address will remain.

Because WP requires a different email address for each domain

Not correct, actually — we do require a unique email address per account, but one account can have several domains associated with it. Going forward, if you’re having trouble adding another domain to an account, let us know. Also, if you’d like to consolidate so you don’t have so many accounts, here’s how you can move a site from one account to another:

    Transfer a Site

You can even do this with domains, though the process is a bit more involved:

    Hoping this helps!
