  I am creating a site for a book with epub as media. Is it possible to host an epub-file or not?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there. epub is not listed as one of the accepted file types here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/accepted-filetypes/

  However, if you have the Premium or Business upgrade you should be able to upload a zipped folder containing that file.

  You can upload a PDF though so perhaps you can convert your epub to a PDF file. A quick Google search suggests there may be ways to do this:

  @kokkieh: the user @hansr001 don’t need the plans, only the space upgrade for that.

  Thanks all. I had seen the accepted-filetypes but I was wondering if a workaround existed. Guess have to host it somewhere else.

  @hansr001 When the epub is converted to PDF, you can embed it with:

  Coverting to a pdf would be wagging the dog by the tail for me. I went through some effort to create the epub. A pdf really has different possibilities.

  I hear ya. I trust you’ve chosen that file type for good reason.

  As kokkieh suggested, you may be able to solve this by simply zipping the epub and uploading it as that file type. Your users can download the zip and view your epub that way. But, also as he said, uploading zips requires a WordPress.com Premium or WordPress.com Business plan.

  No, you wrong: the account of @hansr001 is prior than 01/september/2014.

  He can buy only the space upgrade for that. Please do not give wrong information.

  As of September 1, 2014, Custom Design is now a feature of the WordPress.com Premium and WordPress.com Business. You may choose one of the plans listed at https://store.wordpress.com/plans/.

  The same applies to extra space/storage upgrade.

  When the bundles were introduced they removed that information from the support documents, so I doubt they’d add it back. Officially you can only buy bundles now, even though stand-alone upgrades are still possible for blogs created before 1 Sep 2014.
