epub files not accepted in WordPress?

  Hello, I am trying to upload a product to my WooCommerce store. The file is an epub and stored on my GoDaddy server. I put in the correct path (directory) for the epub file, however, WooCommerce is not accepting it. It states invalid location or filetype. I added this directory to my Approved Directory listing. I do not have any other problems with my other file within my directory – a pdf file. Does WooCommerce restrict epub files? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

  epub is not currently supported by WP. You need to ZIP it and then upload the file. I think it is a pitty especially for site such as mine selling books et ebooks. Something WP should look to change.
