Equally dimensioned images in single post display in grossly different sizes

My blog content often presents similar images/charts all of which I have resized to the same pixel width prior to uploading to WP. Recently (this is a new symptom I’ve never seen before with this blog) these images often show up as very tiny–much narrower than sized. I am using the Twenty Ten theme. Reloading the blog page causes 1 or 2 of the images to display in the proper size but others further down the page do not. Reloading again 1 or 2 more resize, but a few stragglers do not. I am using CHROME and cleared the cache, cookies, & history yet the symptom persists. After 4 or 5 page reloads then they all resize/display properly.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Looking at your blog with the latest Chrome, all images seem to be displaying properly. Also tested with Firefox and IE.

All newer browsers have the feature to not load images and videos until they become visible on the screen (the user scrolls to them). Perhaps this is not triggered properly or a browser addon is interfering. Could you try looking at your blog from a “Incognito/Private Window”. This will load the page with all addons disabled. If images are still not displayed correctly, please try another browser to confirm.

In the latest post there are 11 images. Just now viewed using Chrome Version 31.0.1650.57 m. Only the 1st & 4th image are properly sized–all others shrunken. Yes, on IE 10 and Foxfire 18.0.1 no problem.

In Chrome INCOGNITO the symptoms disappear also. Recent gmail “improvements” also cause other irritating problems. May be time to abandon Google software in general. Too many intrusive and non-working bells & whistles.

    Thanks.
