  That’s your Gravatar. You can see it on the left here. Go to Customize Theme Options and remove your email address from the Header Gravatar box and it will disappear from the front of your site.

  And if you’d like your own Gravatar image rather than the yellow swirl to display in various other places around WordPress.com such as here then go to https://wordpress.com/me and choose another photo or image for your profile.
